From a Shared Need to a Thriving Community

GHASSA was born out of a simple but powerful reality: Ghanaians arriving in Spain often faced the same challenges — navigating immigration paperwork, understanding the education system, finding work, and simply feeling at home in a new country.

In 2023, a group of passionate Ghanaian students and professionals decided to change that. They formed GHASSA — Ghanaian Students in Spain Alliance — to create a structured, welcoming, and resourceful community for every Ghanaian in Spain.

Today, GHASSA supports hundreds of Ghanaians across Spain with events, guides, networking, and a warm community that never lets you feel alone.
